Another update :)
Hey y'all!!
Here are some more updates I promised I'd give you!
Well, since I ended off the last entry talking about the group, let's start this one by talking about............ ME!! lol. On Saturday, Dec. 29 (2007) I went to Sanford, NC with the other group I play for, Adoration. We were in concert with Unity Qt., Mercy's Reign, Randy Miller, Adoration, and Karen Peck & New River!!! WOW!!! What an awesome concert this was!! Karen sang "The Star Spangled Banner" and knocked it outta the park!! She gave an invitation at the end of the concert. Devon (her tenor singer) asked me to play I Surrender All while she gave the plan of salvation, and, praise the Lord, 5 people gave their hearts to Jesus!! It was absolutley FANTASTIC!!!!!
Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, BBT went to Galivants Ferry, SC, for a watchnight service. We sang in the new year. What a wonderful service this was!! Pastor Marty was so nice, and his church was very friendly! We sang for about 30 mins, then my dad preached a message entitled, "When God Shows Up." That message is still with me even today! He talked about events in the Bible where all hope seemed to be gone, such as when Shadrac, Michac, and Abednigo were thrown into the firey furnace. It seemed like all hope was lost, but God showed up! It was awesome!! Then we sang for another 40 or so minutes. After that, Pastor Marty called everyone in the church up to the altar so we could pray in the new year. We prayed while the clock struck 12:00am! Afterwards, we had refreshments in the fellowship hall. All I can say is, GOD IS GOOD!!!!!
Ok, so... I think that pretty much brings you up to speed on almost everything that's been going on around here lately!! If it hasn't, I'm sure my sister Brandy will inform me of something I've forgotten!! LOL :) I love you "sister"!!!
I hope all of you have a wonderful and blessed weekend!
Love,
~Jacob

Sorry it's been so long
HEY EVERYBODY!!!!!
Long time no talk!! So so so so SO sorry!! It's just been incredibly busy around here for the past two months! Things are starting to slow down some now... key word "some"! The truth is, I just love staying busy!!
Well, Christmas has come and gone, almost like it was never here!! I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday filled with love, peace, and the joy of Jesus' birth! This year I got a digital picture frame (:D :D), lots of clothes, an ipod, and lots of other goodies! But one of the best things I got was a new puppy!! Here's the story:
On December 8th, Mama, Daddy, and myself were all in our computer talking about my schedule and stuff like that. After a while, Mama went to the kitchen to fix us all some peanut butter sandwiches. I sat down at our bar and was watching TV when I saw Mama look out the kitchen window. She gasped and said, "Oh my goodness! Ricky, come here, hurry! I think that big dog has just killed Otis!!" Daddy (still in his pajamas) flew out the door, scooped Otis up and went straight to the vet. Mama and I threw some clothes on and followed him. When we got to the vet's office, the receptionist told us which room they were in. When we went to the room, Daddy was sitting in the chair weeping and said, "He's gone." :'( I'll bet you we stood in that room and wept for half an hour! We were so attached to him... Then, about a week later, Brittney mentioned to me that her grandma's dog had just had puppies and that they would be ready in two weeks. I talked to Mama and Daddy about it, and they agreed to get one!! :D So, we now have a 7 week old pup in the family!!
This is Simon Peter Crisp (we call him Pete or Petey!) Isn't he adorable?!
He's already adapted to the "traveling lifestyle." The day we got him, we went to set up our sound system at a church we were supposed to be at Sunday. Then the next day, he had the house to himself while I went to Sanford, NC to be with Adoration and Karen Peck & New River. The following Monday, Blood Bought had a New Year's Eve service to sing at in Galivants Ferry, SC! So Pete got to take his first road trip!! He did so great!
Well, the new year has arrived! Did you make any resolutions this year? I told myself that I was going to start getting up every morning by 7:00. Well................. Yeah that's not working out too well!! lol. Pete helps somewhat though. He takes turns sleeping with me and Mama. When he sleeps with me, he usually does get me up by 7:15 am. Although he did manage to get me up at 4:30 this morning!!!!! I'll have to say, it does make you feel better!! And I get a lot more stuff done!!
Let's see, what's next? lol. I FEEL LIKE I'VE BETRAYED Y'ALL!!! After all, it has been more than a month since I've blogged. :( I've got so much to tell you about. Let's start with Blood Bought's anniversary party. Ready? Set?? Here we go!!! ;)
Monday, December 31, 2007, was BBT's (Blood Bought Trio's) 1 year anniversary!! YAY!!!! We held a singing/party on January 5th. We had 3 groups, 2 adult soloists, and 2 kid soloists. Caleb (my nephew) sang "Nothing But the Blood" and brought the house down!! Sarah (Brittney's little sister) sang "I've Got A Right To Pray" and did AWESOME!!! Then Matt Baker sang "Oh What A Savior" and a song he wrote, and did a SUPER job. Quentin then sang "Only One Life" and "The Midnight Cry". Whew! Holy Ghost chills covered me! It was great!!
Sweetbriar Jam (a teenage bluegrass group) opened the service up and did a FANTASTIC job!! Wow! What talent these kids have!! I think everyone was in awe! Then Unity, a great family group from Columbia, SC, came and sang their way into our hearts!! They were AWESOME as usual!! Then BBT ended everything up. The Spirit was so present during the singing. One lady rededicated her life to Jesus!!! AMEN!!! That's what it's all about!!
Well, I must go now and get ready for church, but I PROMISE, there's still LOTS MORE to come!!!! I'll be in touch soon!!! I PROMISE!!!!!!!!!!!
Love y'all,
Jacob
